| Welcome to BA Livestock WOW, what a couple of years we at BA Livestock have had! We have seen high highs and low lows all related to a bull my son Bryn named stupid when we weaned him. He would run headlong full blast into gates, try and hook everything as a calf and bucked like none other at home with a dummy. When this bull was registered we named him Tilta Whirl and branded him 433. The 4 for the year he was born and the 33 for his Mother. We took him to a futurity as a 2 year old in 2006 very confidant he would do well and he ran off. We brought him home and bucked him and he was right in the gate kicking over his head. Entered another futurity and he ran off. In 2007 as a 3 year old we bucked him several times with a rider and he was good and got better each trip. He won Dale Glory’s derby at Talequah that fall. I tried to sell him and showed him to several people but never was able to make a deal. Tilta Whirl went to Kent Cox in November of 2007 and we entered him in his first classic at OKC where he placed. From then on Kent hauled him and we entered nearly all the classics that year and he got stronger and stronger. He bucked a lot of guys off in the 1-2 second range for which the judges did not reward him. When someone could ride him 3-4 seconds we placed high. In the fall of 2008 Zach Gunter called asking us to consign him to the ABBI sale and I said no we would keep him. After a few days of thinking we called back and agreed to consign him to the sale. One of the hardest decisions we have ever made. He sold to Chad Berger in Las Vegas and his name changed to Big Tex immediately. I said my good byes out there after exercising him one morning at the pens with a tear in my eye. The rest is history. You will find a lot of cattle from Big Tex’s sire and dam including full and ½ sisters and brothers and we have the first and only 2009 Big Tex calves, a bull and heifer and we are expecting more natural and embryo calves in 2010. If we can help in any way with semen, embryos or cattle feel free to contact us. Sincerely Brian Agnew Brian & Elizabeth Agnew 224 County Rd. 2106 Clarksville, TX. 75426 Phone: 903-669-9189 |
